She's the style icon that makes everything she wears look effortlessly cool. British "It" girl, author, television host, and model Alexa Chung's 20-piece collection for L.A.-based denim label AG Jeans debuts in the United States on January 20, and judging from both the European sites that are selling out of stock as I type this and the super chic lookbook, there'll be some instant hits.
Chung scoured thrift stores and took her inspiration from the late '60s and early '70s for her first AG jeans collaboration, designing everything from high-rise cutoff shorts and boyfriend denim to lightweight tees and graphic sweatshirts. The end result is a collection of casual, easy-to-wear wardrobe staples. My money is on the button-front shirtdress and denim skirt as the most popular items (they are already selling out quickly on European sites), as well as the black overalls, ruffle denim dress, skinny jeans and high-waisted shorts.
