Giambattista Valli at Macy's

I finally had an opportunity to browse the Giambattista Valli for Impulse collection at Macy's. Full of ruffles, bold red hues, and leopard prints, it was exactly the kind of clothing that I dream of filling my closet with. Although I didn't try anything on, my favorite piece by far was the frilly red skirt in the second photo. Everything appeared to be well tailored with luxe details, rich colors, and dramatic silhouettes. Perfect pieces and very tempting for upcoming holiday parties.

Time To Shine

One of my favorite things about this time of year is the abundance of highly decorative and attention-grabbing store window displays. At the Macy's flagship in San Francisco, I eyed a few sparkly and sequin-covered displays that have me suddenly wanting to wear anything shiny and festive.

Fall Finds at Zara

Since Zara's windows are often a source of inspiration for me, I'm sharing four recent photos I took there on a shopping trip last week. Although I walked out empty handed, I spotted a few things that caught my eye, including a gray fleece dress (chicer than it sounds), some colorful skinny jeans, the lace pencil skirt in the first photo, suede wedge boots, 1960s shift dresses, and some snake print pieces. Now that Zara has online shopping, I can also be tempted by their on-trend offerings from the comfort of home.
