Add A Glog To Your Blog

What did we ever do before the days of the internet, digital cameras, and social networking and media sites? It's hard to remember! For those types that enjoy creating art and expressing their artistic inclinations, there's a new website called Glogster.com. Don't you just love to be one of the first people to hear about new websites with user-generated content? I do.

What's a glog, anyways? Think of it as a multi-media collage. Creating a glog allows you to express your creativity by choosing a background, adding some shapes or characters from the Glogster gallery, using your own videos, music, or photos, and voilà! You've created your own work of art that you can share with others! In a mere matter of minutes you can create a glog and embed it into your blog.

Right now Glogster is still in beta, and the developers are working on improvements and innovations. If you're one of the first people to join Glogster, you can win one of 100 iPods in the Glogster contest. The creators of the highest ranking glogs will win an iPod. You can also earn points in the iPod contest by telling your friends about Glogster and inviting them to create their own glogs.

I created the glog pictured below in just a few minutes while I was trying out the website. I didn't add music or video, just a few images from my vacation to London this past May. The theme is fashion of course, and I included some of my favorite store window displays from Oxford Street and the Kensington High Street. Glogster is a great way to organize and share your favorite photos, videos, and music in a fun and easy-to-use format. So if you're feeling creative, add a glog to your blog!
