At the Flea Market

This past Sunday I visited the Ventura Flea Market. I must admit that I was quite disappointed by the scant number of vendors that were selling this time. On previous visits, there were quite a bit more sellers and buyers. For those of you who haven't been, the hours for general admission are from 9-2. It is held right next to the beach at the Fairgrounds (Seaside Park) in Ventura, California. It typically takes place the first Sunday of the month and is coordinated by the same company that does the Rose Bowl Flea Market. Most of the vendors seem to sell housewares, antiques, and bric-a-brac. There are a small percentage of apparel vendors. (For example, the woman from Super Lucky Cat and the guy who sells Peanuts, Dr. Seuss, and Hello Kitty T-shirts for $10.) The weather, which is close to perfect, makes for pleasant shopping with the cool ocean breeze and sunshine. Although I did not buy anything, I photographed a few things that inspired me. Unfortunately, I did not see any people worth photographing. Enjoy!
