Trend on the Rise - Novelty Knits

Although warm temperatures say otherwise, fall is on the horizon, hence the abundance of knits and outerwear in stores during late August and September. As difficult as it can be to buy sweaters and jackets when it's close to 100 degrees, it's also tempting to stock up and get a head start on fall trends. Novelty knits are big news this fall, and they pair well with other key items this season such as: pencil skirts, leather/faux leather skinnies, cropped trousers, lace dresses, and printed denim.  Below are some colorful and whimsical styles that I've spotted in stores such as Macy's and Target.
