I spent my Saturday evening hopping to various events around L.A., and the d.RA Clothing sample sale was my first stop. Hosted by a handful of popular bloggers in collaboration with Lookbook.nu, it was a high energy shopping party. With a strong mix of fall 2011 and spring 2012 clothing from dRA and Kasil Workshop, jewelry by Social Grace, shoes by Seychelles, and various snacks and beverages from coffee and tequila to veggies and cupcakes, I kept busy during my short time there. Music, food, and fashion are the ultimate trifecta for a fun event, and this event had it all.

Toward the end of the night, I explored the streets of Silverlake, and after a handful of illegal U-turns, I joined the intimate and lively holiday celebration at Telltale Hearts. I browsed designer Kelly Bechtold's Girl on a Motorcycle collection with its studded leather accessories, chatted with the store's co-owner about blogging, trends, vintage apparel, and the Bay area, and lusted after their incredible collection of vintage apparel and footwear, including the gray boots pictured above. I highly recommend stopping in for a browse if you're in the Silverlake area. Although compact in size, their selection of printed frocks, gently worn boots, chic sunglasses, standout jewelry, and gorgeous winter outerwear definitely warrants a visit.
