Via my inbox, here's an interesting piece of news that L.A. shoppers might want to know about:
7 For All Mankind is opening its newest boutique in the Century City Mall on Friday, June 4th, joining the brand’s other Los Angeles shops, located on Robertson Boulevard and in the Malibu Country Mart. Customers will be able to shop the brand’s complete collection, including women’s & men’s denim and sportswear, as well as footwear, eyewear and accessories. On-site tailoring and appointment shopping will also be available to all clients.
DETAILS: The 2,000 square foot space is located in one of Los Angeles’s premiere shopping destinations, the Century City Mall. The store’s design takes inspiration from Southern California’s mid-century modern homes designed by renowned architects such as Neutra and Schindler, as well as contemporary LA architects such as Marmol Radziner. This causal timeless modernism is woven into the fabric of the Southern California experience. It uses warm authentic materials such as wood, concrete and steel and a deliberate approach to design, focused on clean lines, interlocking planes, and a blurring of indoor and outdoor space. The store is warm, casual, and modern - ultimately serving as a simple, light-filled gallery space that is a blank canvas for showcasing beautiful product as well as housing art, design, installations and events. The simplicity imparts a level of flexibility that allows the store to be transformed seasonally. Key design details include custom blown glass ceiling fixtures, hand-stitched twelve foot mesh drapery in the dressing rooms and a vintage seating area to provide a place for shoppers to relax and soak up the scene.
